Fantasy Premier League Round Up: Week 1-6

Welcome to my Fantasy Football weekly update.  I am a little late in starting this as it is now week 7 of the Fantasy Premier League, but this is going to be a weekly things from here on forward, and I think it will be very cathartic - allowing me to vent my frustrations or sing a players praises.  I'll keep you updated on my team, transfers, league placement and thoughts as this roller-coaster of a season continues.  It has been eventful right from the off, so I have no doubt that it will remain like that and even possibly intensify as the season draws to a close.

For the past couple of years, my other half has tried to get me to join him in the Fantasy Premier League, however, I didn't as I didn't want to embarrass myself (or him!) as the league is mainly made up of his friends.  This year, after more persuasion - and the offer of a free entry, I gave in and entered.

I am in the £15 Super League ran by J's friend, League Riffiths (haha see what they did there) ran by one of my friends and @ftbllrswanimals a random league I found on twitter - joined in week 7.

After having a little look in the £15 Super League, I noticed quite a few teams had punny names so thought I better try.  My team is called... *drum roll please* - Does It Really Mata? (cringe) haha.

I wish I had taken a little more time to get my initial team right.  I didn't realise how serious I would actually become and wish I'd done a little more research as there were a few weak links in my initial team, especially in week one.  I also couldn't access my team in the run up to the first deadline so didn't have a chance to make my captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and that is still annoying me to this day, because I could have had an extra 9 points - and every point counts!  I'm not doing as bad as I thought though, and after week 6 I am currently sitting above J (phew) and holding my own in the leagues.

So let's have a look back at weeks 1-6:
